Nursing Assessment

Monitor Vital signs Q2hrs (Blood Pressure, Temperature, Pulse Ox, HR)

Medication Monitoring according to prescribed regimen

Assessing surgical sites/ drains (Ensuing no blood clots or present)

Assess incisions for proper healing; observe for signs and symptoms of infection and post-operative complications

Assisting with transfers from Bed to chair, Bed to bathroom

Assisting with gait ambulation

Make light meals (groceries/food provided by client)

Assist with applying compression socks

Assist with bed changes 

Dress/Undress

Educate you and your family on your postop care so when service is complete you can be self-sufficient

Assistance with mobility, activities of daily living such as showering, personal hygiene, putting on and taking off your garment, foams, abdominal board, and compression socks
